● Go to a lecture or exhibit at the Booth Western Art Museum or attend a performance at the Grand or Legion Theatres.

● Visit a shop or restaurant you’ve never tried before.
● Have a picnic at Friendship Plaza, and read the names on all the memorial bricks.
● Explore your creative side, take a pottery, stained glass or painting class or join the Main Street Writers Association.
● Get a massage or a new hairdo at a downtown spa.
● Recycle used clothing at Psycho Sisters, Thrifts & Tiques or donate to the Community Church Shop.
● Buy fresh flowers just for the fun of it at Angel’s Florist or Bloomers.
● Take a yoga, dance or karate class.
● Look for the cornerstones on historic buildings downtown and imagine what life was like 75 or 100 years ago.

Pottery Lane Offers Classes for All Ages
Visit Pottery Lane, at 15 E. Main Street, and paint your own pottery, then pick it up later after it’s been fired in the kiln. Owner Tasha Lane welcomes individuals or families to drop in, or groups of up to 50 by appointment. Birthdays, bridal, ladies nights, holiday groups or corporate outings are welcome. All ages are welcome, and even infants can have their foot or handprint put on pottery pieces. Swheat Market is coming mid-July to 5 East Main Street and is Cartersville’s first natural food market. Both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages count toward the charities funds. Recent bartending groups have included the Bartow Humane Society, Rotary Club of Etowah and the Exchange Club.
